The genesis for the Pilgrim art series began with an image of St. Padre Pio.  I wanted to draw contemporary saints and heroes that could be shared with others.   The saints are larger than life, bringing us closer to Jesus.  The original images place us within "listening distance", bringing us  into a personal encounter  of sorts.  

I have focused upon John Paul II, Padre Pio and Mother Theresa.  If you have a saint, Catholic hero or sacred image that you would like to suggest to me, feel free to contact me.
